Bell times
Our school day is structured around a clear timetable. We have set times for learning sessions, activities and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students get the most out of each part of the day.
It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our front office.
Late arrivals
Students who are late will need to go through the front office so they can be entered into Sentral. They must come to class with a slip from the office so that the class teacher knows their attendance has been entered. Parents need to inform the office for the reason of their lateness.

Assembly
Our School Assembly is on each Monday at 1pm in the school hall. The assembly is run by our school leaders. Classes take turns in presenting items, and the newsletter will contain information on who is presenting at the assembly.
Each week the attendance trophies are handed out for best attendance and most improved. Each week the most respectful class is chosen. This class gets to sit on the chairs and pick the bell song for the following week and has our respectful bear with their class all week. Parents are encouraged to come along. Attendance awards are handed out during week 6 and week 1 of the following term.

Marking class rolls
It is the duty of the parent of a child of compulsory school-age to cause the child to be enrolled at, and to attend, a government school or a registered non-government school, or to be registered for home schooling with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and to receive instruction in accordance with the conditions to which the registration is subject.
Parents are required to explain the absences of their children from school promptly and within seven days to the school. An explanation for absence must be provided to the school within 7 days of the first day of any period of absence.
Class rolls will be entered into Sentral by 9.15am every morning.
Attendance
Our school has been working hard to improve school attendance. Students are rewarded at assembly every 5 weeks for improved attendance and 95-100% attendance. Students with 95-100 % attendance will receive a ticket and at the end of the year they will go into the draw to receive a bike and helmet. At the end of each term students with 95-100% are rewarded with a special activity.
Students who have attendance concerns will be contacted by staff through phone calls and letters to try and support the family with getting their child to school.
If you have questions about arrival times or absences, please contact us.
The school offers a breakfast club in the morning and will provide a basic lunch if needed. It also provides a morning pick up in our school bus for families who have difficulty in getting students to school. This runs in 5-week blocks.
